This policy explains what data Scan Reality collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account data: email and mobile number you provide at sign-up.
- Content: images, videos, and AR experiences you upload.
- Usage data: scan events, device/browser type, and approximate location derived from IP for analytics.
- Lead data: if you collect leads through your experiences, the information your viewers submit is stored on your behalf.
Camera access
The AR scanner requests camera permission strictly to detect target images on your device. Camera frames are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers.
How we use data
- To operate and improve the Service (compile markers, host media, deliver experiences).
- To provide analytics on scans and engagement to the owner of each experience.
- To send transactional and account emails (OTP, billing, security notices).
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with vetted processors (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics) under contractual privacy obligations, or when required by law.
Storage and security
Data is stored on Lovable Cloud (powered by Supabase) with row-level security and encryption in transit. We retain account and content data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion for backup and audit purposes.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or export your data from the dashboard.
- Delete your account and associated content at any time.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
- EU/UK/India residents may exercise additional rights under GDPR/DPDP.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice.
